Jorge Aquista

as been working in the fields of movement and interpretative arts as director, actor and teacher of theatre since the late seventies. By the necessity to push creative processes such as perception and expression, and to bring fantasy and reality closer to each other, his artistic work left the enclosures of theatre and stage in order to give more quality and creative power to the everyday “dance“. Thus he gave birth to his concepts of “Alphabetisierung des Körpers®“ (Alphabetizing of the body) and “Teatro Tango®“.

Born and grown up in Buenos Aires, his artistic work took him to Barcelona, Rome, Stockholm, Hamburg, Berlin, Freiburg. At present he is staying supraregionally in Germany as a guest lecturer, among other things with his concepts of “Alphabetisierung des Körpers®“ (Alphabetizing of the body) and „Teatro Tango®“ as well as advanced trainings for body oriented teaching. Since 2007 he is co-initiator and head of „T-Haus“ (T-house), a house-sharing working group for creative projects, situated in Heidelberg-Germany.
